CLE Requirements
North Carolina Requirements
Every year by December 31st, North Carolina attorneys are required to complete 12 hours of Continuing Legal Education, 2 hours of which must cover Professional Responsibility. Of the 12 hour requirement, attorneys may take up to four (4) hours of CLE credit through online courses for each compliance year.
MCLEZ provides online CLE courses which have been pre-approved by the North Carolina State Bar Continuing Legal Education Department, our sponsor ID # is 5867. MCLEZ will report course attendance within 30 days of course completion. However, MCLEZ does not pay CLE course fees, and it remains the responsibility of the attorney to meet any compliance or reporting deadlines.
